Four dark cold thirty
Where’s that beeping coming from?
Cats whine for breakfast.
Bear awakes in spring;
Grunts, sloughs off dreams of berries,
Honey and mating.
My cat impersonates
A cup of kona coffee;
With creamy swirls
And a purring warmth
As she curls around
My morning croissant.
