deer in our garden
I negotiate for the lives
of the roses
a long, long life
she falls asleep
new adventures
a swirl of starlings
or a gust of leaves
must wear glasses
behind the curtains
on the window ledge
cat’s shadow show
outside cats in lust
my household cats
can’t be bothered
news helicopter
hovers over where I live
must be my haiku
quarantine over
the hermit crab
says no big deal
carp climbing
dragon falls
become buddha
my neighbor
avid birdwatcher
with no egrets
house for sale
ghosts and demons
complimentary
kitty box goddess
grandchild governess
happy Mother’s Day
the vet up-sells me
how much do I love
my cats
typhoon of petals
many haikuists
feared drowned
