the old high school
corridors of empty lockers
shadows beget shadows

  1. You can go back. But enter at your peril. Thanks for the mem’ry push, pal. I wonder: do they still have lockers in middle and high schools and if so why are all those kids ruining their backs lugging each and every book – and twelve pounds else – on their backs in packs they wear too low below their shoulders and not high up across those same shoulders and thus distributing the load much more sanely? Sanely? In school? Sorry. I got carried away by your poem’s push.
