Hope this is fireworks–one of my very fave things.
Yup, fireworks. The Japanese word translates into “fire flowers” which is pretty but I wanted to communicate a more serious tone.
Oooh, fire flowers is lovely. I realize there’s a downside to fire works…danger, expense, flashbacks for vets, probably pollution….but I’m like a kid each 4th of July and New Year’s, watching the Seattle Space Needle program on TV.
I like fireworks, too, but it always strikes me as a simulation of battle. At least, usually, no one gets hurt. Some years ago there was a computer glitch and the entire San Diego fireworks display went up in 19 seconds… Celebration of the Big Bang
Holy Moly! I realize the “simulation of battle” part is real and quite devastating for some.
